Plagiarism: Who’s Stealing Whose Ideas?

Lately we’ve noticed that our site’s system (www.BestManagementArticles.com) has been malfunctioning. A few articles with exactly the same titles have passed thru the submission filter and got manually approved by our different editors. But what we found out in the process of debugging is worrying: the same articles were being submitted by different authors. Some have slightly different titles but exactly the same article content.

Looks like some authors are thriving on plagiarism.

I decided to retain the duplicate articles in our directory for all to see. But if you don’t see duplicate articles of the titles listed below by the time you read this, it only means that the "guilty" party/parties have already logged in and deleted their articles from our directory.

Let’s look at some of our findings:
1. Title: “3 Necessary Tools for the High Rolling Affiliate Marketers”

2. Title: “3 Quick and Easy Ways to Build a Profitable Opt in List”

3 identical articles, submitted separately by: Julie Morris, Chris Vendilli, and Dan Clare

3. Title: “3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need to Succeed Online”

2 identical articles, ubmitted separately by: Don Alexander and Mallia Wofford

4. Title: “4 small business myths revealed and squashed”

2 identical articles, submitted separately by: Doug Brown and Claudia Brown

5. Title: “4 Things ALL Articles Must Have - Don't Forget!”

2 identical articles, submitted separately by: Chris Vendilli and Stephen Campbell

6. Title: “5 Easy Ways to Get Your Creative Juices Going”

2 identical articles, submitted separately by: Malia Wofford and Tom Taito

7. Title: “5 Reasons Why Blogging is the New Internet Marketing Tool”

2 identical articles, ubmitted separately by: Johanna Piittala and Samizr Khan

8. Title: “5 Things You Must Have to Succeed in Affiliate Marketing”

3 identical articles, submitted separately by: Sean Burton, Jo Han Mok and Tyler James Ellison

This list is far from comprehensive. We were only able to review the list containing articles beginning in A. There should be more in B-Z.

The big question: Who plagiarized whom? Given that authors usually submit articles to many sites and article directories it is very hard to pin down who the original author is.
