There are many factors in event management some of which are: (1) budget, (2) promotion, (3) suitability of speakers and presentations.
One factor I consider very important is the venue. It has to be appropriate for the type of event. It's size should be just enough for the number of attendees. It has to have sufficient parking and convenient accessibility.
